Thyria is a role-playing game that blends dynamic exploration with strategic, turn-based combat, set in a mysterious world where cursed villagers’ dreams hold both danger and opportunity. Players take on the role of Thyria, a determined heroine who ventures into these twisted dreamscapes to uncover a dark curse plaguing her village. Navigating a procedurally generated 2D isometric map filled with diverse landscapes, players must carefully manage time, resources, and day-night cycles, as the behavior and visibility of nightmarish creatures shift with the passing hours. Along the way, they gather Soul Dusts, Inks, and knowledge by delving into the minds of the afflicted, while balancing risks and rewards in increasingly perilous quests. Central to the gameplay is the summoning and customization of Guardians—unique companions each equipped with distinct spells and abilities. Players can merge Soul Jewels in a laboratory to unlock new Guardians and craft powerful charms and equipment with over 30 modifiers, adding depth to strategic combat encounters. Battles emphasize teamwork and timing, requiring players to exploit enemy weaknesses and coordinate their Guardians’ skills to survive against a growing menagerie of demonic foes. Additional features include an online Auction House for item trading and a hand-drawn, animated art style that brings Thyria’s unsettling dream world to life. Through exploration, tactical combat, and character progression, Thyria invites players to unravel the village’s curse while testing their strategic thinking and perseverance.
