The game centers around climbing Mount Shroom, the tallest peak in the region, while also offering plenty of opportunities to wander through peaceful locations like Roston Ranch, where friendly geese and colorful frogs add to the relaxing atmosphere. Beyond scaling cliffs and crags, players can engage in a variety of lighthearted minigames such as Mortimer’s Boat Race and a seasonal Pumpkin Hunt at Bone Hill, or embark on a quest to collect elusive Golden Mushrooms scattered throughout the environment, adding an extra layer of exploration and discovery. At the heart of Valley Peaks is a unique climbing mechanic that challenges players to navigate obstacles like swinging spikes and prickly vines, requiring skill and timing to overcome. Progression is supported by unlocking useful gadgets, including a Glider for soaring between peaks and a Specialized Tongue tool designed to help reach tricky spots, enhancing both movement and strategy.
