Game Overview
Virballs is an action-packed platformer set in a vibrant sci-fi universe where players take control of ORB, an Object Removal Bot equipped with rocket-powered claws and an array of futuristic weapons. The galaxy is under threat from Dr. Corvid, a rogue scientist who has unleashed Virballs—virus-like creatures that wield elemental powers such as fire, electricity, wind, and more—causing chaos across six unique and diverse planets. As ORB, your mission is to capture these mischievous entities using grappler claws, then fuse their elemental properties to create a variety of hybrid weapons. With over 40 possible combinations, experimenting with these powers is key to overcoming the increasingly difficult enemies and environmental challenges encountered throughout the game. Players will navigate fast-paced levels filled with traps, puzzles, and hostile Virballs, using ORB’s blasters, thrusters, and claws to progress. Along the way, you’ll rescue the peaceful Floobers, a gentle species endangered by the spreading infestation, and face off against powerful Virball bosses whose defeat unlocks new elemental Cores, expanding your arsenal further. Virballs offers an evolving experience through its Steam Early Access launch, with additional planets and missions planned for release leading up to the full game’s debut in early 2025. Combining dynamic combat, creative weapon crafting, and a colorful galactic setting, Virballs invites players to embark on a thrilling journey to restore order to the cosmos.
